I have a 1998 GT 4.6, I know it has a cracked intake and plan on changing it. Recently the car will start and run great when it is cool. after it heats up and you turn the car off it will not restart until it is cooled down. When you turn it over the car will crank but will not start.
Thanks

Surprised it doesn't run good with a crack intake? Consider with a cracked intake, there is an easy path for air to enter. This will create "voids" in the cooling jacket. The voids causes hot spots due to a lack of liquid cooling.

Want to ruin a motor? IMO, it's a real risk if you keep driving it.

I didnt realize the intake was as bad as it was, I knew it was leaking a little but not as bad as it was. I bought it and drove a short time then put it up for the winter. It is shut down until replaced.
