Im driving a 1998 v6 with autotransmission. Id like to upgrade to a v8 but am only to find a Thunderbird engine near where i live.

Its a 1995 tbird with manual transmission and a 4.6 v8 engine.
Would this fit... Has anyone tried this?
Could i get some good upgrades on this v8 engine or are there better ones for this.

I never heard of a V8 T-bird with a manual tranny, only the SuperCoupe ever came with a 5-spd and that was a V6 as well. Anyhow, you are looking to do needs a CRAPLOAD of parts to do this swap right. Much of the T-Bird stuff won't work on your car. Not really worth the trouble unless you are doing it yourself and don't need your car for a few weeks/months. Honestly, it makes more sense to sell your V6 and buy a GT if you gotta have a V8.

It would not be worth it in any way... That Thunderbird 4.6L is a piece that flows worse than a single-port V6... lol Maybe not that bad but you get the picture.
