Hello there,
I have a 99 gt 5 speed. And the traction ctrl switch stays off when I press it. how do I turn it on or how do I activate it. If it doesent work how can I fix it?
Thanx for your help guys...

What do you mean when you say it stays on? Do you mean that when you deactivate it and then you turn off your car it stays deactivated?

Because when you turn off your car and then turn it back on it should your TC should turn itself back on. At least thats the way it is on the 01-04 mustangs...

Maybe your TC lightbulb is wired wrong?

i mean when the car is on, the light on the tc switch is turned on (the off sign), that light should turn off once i press the switch meaning the tc is on, is in it?. well thats the problem even thou i try to activate the tc by pressing the switch it keep saying its off. and in the speedometer the green sign of the tire spining doesnt turn on. i dont know whats wrong or how can i fix it thanks...

my guess is that its an electrical problem either with the switch or with the traction control functionality, find a good mechanic would be the best bet... good luck

I have the same problem. The light is always on. When i start the car the green traction control light comes up but doesn't stay. Let me know if you find anything out

Yep, I was going to suggest looking at your ABS sensors, since that's what it uses. The traction control will not activate if the ABS isn't working properly. I have a bad sensor on my car right now on the right front, so my traction control will never come on.
