Hey everyone,

Basically, it only shifts hard when going from 2nd to 3rd, and even then it usually only happens after it downshifts from 3rd to 2nd, then the rpm's go to around 1500 and it starts to jerk when I press on the accelerator. The speed limits in my city usually make this happen quite frequently when I'm forced to travel through town instead of using back roads/shortcuts.

Any one think they might know what the problem is? I'm thinking that the transmission might be going out soon, I'm within about 500 miles of reaching 200K. The transmission hasn't been rebuild or even flushed to my knowledge for the years that my parents owned it and then gave it to me.

I'm sure that it could use a transmission flush and filter replacement by now. I'm just wondering if anyone thinks that the transmission might actually be going out. Other than in this situation it seems perfectly fine.
