1st post here!

Bought my daughter, well, she's partly paying for it.. an '05 V6 and the stock wheels are the 16" and they are in bad shape.

So, we are trying to decide which take offs to get. We both can't make up our minds and was hoping for some input here.

2010 GT 18" take offs or 05-09 GT Bullits? We are getting take offs with the PZero/nero Pirellis.

We both would love the chrome, but have a budget for silver painted only.

Pro's/con's to either? or is it just what looks good to us? (which is the problem, we can't decide what looks better!)

I dont know thew price difference between the wheels from the dealer and after market but check out AM I buy from them a lot and they offer free mounting and balancing. Just add a set of 4 of your choice ( I would recommend throwing in the TPMS sensors) and then click shop for tires and add any of the comparable tires that will fit the wheel you like and use that price as a range to shop in. Or you might like the price and wheels so much as to buy from them. 2010+ Ford Mustang Wheels, Mustang Rims at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!

Uh.. just read this on the 1st time owner mods thread.
The V6 models can fit the same wheels as the gt. However, if your mustang came with 16 in wheels stock, you will need to buy the wheel stop from Ford that prevents rubbing. They are part number 4R3Z-3932-BA from Ford.
But read this on another forum:
Note: For vehicles with 16" wheels from the factory:
-installing 17" x 8" wheels, use steering stop 4R3Z-3932-BA
-Installing 18" x 8.5" or 18" x 9.5" wheels, use steering stop 6R3Z-3932-CA
How many with 16" stock wheels and have gone to 18" wheels needed to do this and which is the correct stop to use if I must?

Depending on what the budget is....

Try searching for used after market wheels that you guys may like instead of trading for another stock set?
