2 Valve Kenne Bell

Kenne Bell kits are awesome. I am looking into a 5.4 DOHC supercharged swap in my 03 GT convertible. So far I have had 4 people say no and about 15 say yes to go do it. In your case, build what makes you happy and satisfies your needs. A bullet proof 2v engine and a kenne bell on it and you have one nasty ride for sure. My 2v is currently 432 rwhp on nitrous with a fully built engine. My mods list is on my profile.

hell yeah dude i was just reading you post. the one that said "maybe one day this will be important" lol thats badass that you have a 432 hp with NA motor! I was told that 2v couldnt do top mounts but i guess people were wrong. I think im gonna have to save up for the top mount for my 2v and rebuild with forged internals!

Forged internals are the way to go. Nobody thinks it will do it because most people dont want to spend the money. Any engine is capable of big power. I hate to say this but my one buddy has a friend who has a 8.9 second Honda. Not street legal at all but very impressive. He has a total of 64 grand in this car. Now my question is why, it is still a Honda??? But just proves with money anything is fast even a little 2v.

now my question would be; should i go with forged internals in the top and bottom end? or could I forge the bottom end, get the top mount, then forge the top? also would it be better to go with a centrifugal supercharger or roots/twin screw?

lol i guess you can see how new i am to this. what do i need to do to the top end in order to get it ready for a supercharger?

It all depends on the cams you choose to run. You can keep it all stock and be fine up to 500+whp.

Plenty of people run stock top ends pushing a lot of power. That's what's great about a supercharger, it forces air in


Are you planning on a different cam? Are you going to get your heads worked on? Do you want to upgrade to different heads (Trickflow...very pricey)...


What is the budget for your build anyway? and Power goals?

You can also get your heads worked over, bronze guides, stainless steel valves, 5 angle valve job, oversized valves, stiffer springs to handle more lift from the cam. It all depends on your budget and what you want.

I want to save up for something that will give me like 15-30 psi. i think i want to get to above 500whp. this will be far down the road (pun intended:wink. Im guessing, on top of forged bottom end im going to need new/better top end parts. is this possible with the 2v motors?

Trickflow heads, trickflow cams (very friendly for boost) and edelbrock victor jr intake manifold and buy a procharger kit for it or go away from edelbrock intake and just get the kenne bell supercharger. Either way you will make some serious power. Forged bottom end parts are extra insurance. When you get to the 400+ horsepower mark you want a built bottom end. Make sure you use a Melling performance oil pump part number is 10227 and pickup tube is 335s part number from summit racing. As far as the pistons go make sure if you are building one for supercharger or turbocharger that you get a lower compression ratio build.
