Hey guys Ive been asking this question a lot but i want to know all the details, facts, and opinions. I have a 2000 v6 3.8L 5 speed. I already have a K/N cold air intake and duelexhaust flowmaster.
This is what ive been told to do and I also want to know chronologically when I should do each upgrade:

ignition coils
t-lock
CAI
Cams
Short throw shifter
underdrive pulleys
Tuner or chip
throttle body spacer
changing the gears
redo my hoses
rear crank seal
long tube headers
stage 2 clutch

I plan on doing most of these. now, im not going to be taking it on the track, much lol, but when im on the street i want to be able to burn the little rice burners that pull up next to me. I raced a 5.0 the other day and was completely humiliated. I didnt plan on putting in a supercharger or turbo because i was hoping after all these mods that i wouldnt need it. please any advice or opinions will be more than appreciated.

My $0.02 for a chronological timeline...
ignition coils - never
throttle body spacer - never
underdrive pulleys - never, if planning to s/c
CAI
t-lock&changing the gears&Tuner
Short throw shifter
Cam
long tube headers- what about the rest of your exhuast?
stage 2 clutch, and do the rear crank (main)seal while installing the clutch.

redo my hoses- what hoses and what's wrong with them?
whats wrong with the throttle body spacer and underdrive pullies. I heard those were great for the stang and prvided a lot of horsepower

Generally it's a cost/gain FAIL.
And by a lot i think they meant a few.

I'm in agreement with 232-K7 on the timeline.
Might throw the shifter up before gears if cost or time is a factor.

if you plan to s/c, udps are a waste of time & money.
realistically, they add 2-3 rwhp.
TB spacers are junk...utter junk.
i wouldnt swap out the ignition coil unless your goes bad...which it could. but dont expect to feel a gain from it.

other than that, your list is a good set of mods.
i'd look into p&p heads and upper/lower intakes to go along with your cam.

have peek at this website.

The list is a good list if he is getting the car ready to handle some power, otherwise that list makes him absolutely no power...

You may make 25hp on a good day with all of those mods, granted your car would be set up for those mods but still that is a lot of money to see that little of a gain.

Why are you going to do a CAI if you already have a K&N CAI? He does not need to do the rest of an exhaust if he already has a dual, just add the LT's to it.
