I'm in the process of figuring out why my car bucks sometimes while cruising and figured it prob is the throttle position sensor. So I examined the outside and noticed that its not a motorcraft/ford tps its a cts brand one. My question is did the mustang come stock with a Motorcraft/ford one? If it did its prob jus a crappy sensor and I have to replace it.

Just wondering how you narrowed it down to the TPS? Would you rather have help troubleshooting the bucking problem?

The typical causes of bucking are:
1-excessive EGR flow
2-Dirty or bad MAF sensor. Clean.
3-secondary ignition problem. Weak spark, cross fire, misfire.
4-Fuel system problem. low fuel pressure. Weak pump. Dirty fuel filter.
5-air intake system. typically vacuum leak.

TPS is not on the list.....
