So this is the problem I have been having with my Mustang, and I know Im not the only one. When the car is automatically downshifting there is a clunk in final stage from 2nd gear going into 1st. After doing some research I found out that this is caused by the transmission planet spring that is out of place. I have include a link to the TSB that describes this problem in detail and the way of going about fixing it. Just wanted to share some of this info for those have the same symptoms but do not know what it is. The only thing is I do not know how much this would cost to replace, so if anyone has any input, please feel free.

TSB says just to check for the problem is 5.3 hours, so find out how much the shop your going to use charges per hour. where im from its expensive ($122 an hour). then factor in any parts that are broken, and the cost for ATF.
