What are my options as far as which trans to use, simple bolt in is all I am aiming for. And what problems will I run into doing this?
I am pretty good around the shop and have access to parts. I just got a good deal on a 2000 GT but its auto, and one day I may change it out to a 5 speed.
I searched but did not find anything or my search skills are lacking so please forgive as I suck..:smartass:

1. T45/t3650 tranny
2. Flywheel, Clutch, Pressure plate, pilot bearing
3. TO Bearing
4. Fork, pedals, cable
5. ECU Tune (Tuner or Chip) or 5Speed ECU, this last will require new keys too.
6. Trans Wiring harness

Thats about it, look for complete kits, there are vendors out there.

I guess I should have been a little more clear in the questions.
In what trans to use, can you tell me why this one is better than that one?
Why does the ECU need changed? I have dealt with other swaps on Jeeps and if going from auto to stick the ECU just did not effect anything, but other way around the ECU had to be changed to control shift points.
What part of harness needs changed? Is there not a back up light and neutral point connections on the auto harness?

I know what parts as far the the mechanisms but the whys and why nots escape me on this build.

Again I dont know this and want to.
