2000 Mustang Drivers Window Alignment

2685 Views 0 Replies 1 Participant Last post by  thaemar
I have a 2000 Mustang. The drivers side window roller is jumping past the stop at the top of the rear guide post and getting stuck so that it won't come back down. The only way to release it is to take the door panel off, remove the stop and lower the window to below the level of the stop. It works for a little while but eventually jumps past the stop again. The regulator had been replaced, but apparently the correct alignment/adjustment was not made to the guideposts. When the door is closed there is a minor gap at the back edge of the door near the bottom of the window that narrows to no gap at the top of the window. I am trying to find instructions on how to properly adjust the regulator and guidepost in order to have the window travel up and down correctly and not jump past the stop at the top of the guidepost.
