i either need to rebuild my engine or put a new one in it.
i currently have a 97 mustang gt and was wondering if anyone knew what i would have to do to drop an 01 gt engine in it
i know itll fit just fine on the mounts but will i need a new comp?
will all the wires and sensors line up?
any other modifications i will need to do?
and anything i need to keep in mind?

thanks guys

Everything will be just dandy, use your wiring and if you have a standard your clutch and flywheel with a new pilot bearing...

Been a while since I swapped mine so I might miss a thing or two but its pretty easy. You will have to mount the coil pack brackets on the engine,(possibly drilling a hole or two). You will have to drill and tap the intake for the second temp sensor. Use the intake tube from the 97 because the PI one doesnt have a bung for the air temp sensor. Think thats it, use the harness and computer from the 97.

+1, it'll work just fine. I put a 03 in a 97 and just swapped over the stuff from the 97 over, minus the PI stuff.
