just figured out my plastic intake is leaking coolant ,to late for the recall

. will the car be ok 'til the weather breaks (aka spring / summer) to leave it(the intake leak) alone. i live in syracuse ny (snow city) and she is pretty much off the road (in driveway/ under cover), but i run her to keep the the fluids flowing/battery charged(remote start) and so on. anyhow should i just let it sit 'til i get the repair or continue my regiment of warming up the car weekly. im not sure how long the leak has been occuring. ive haven't had any driving issues this past driving season....please what do you guys think ....A MICK

As long as you're npt driving the car it should be ok. Keep an eye on it when you start it every couple weeks or whatever, if it starts puking coolant out real bad then shut it down.

You can get a brand new OEM manifold from AmericanMuscle for about $200, and install isn't bad. Get a Haynes manual so you have the bolt torque specs and sequence; the rest of the job should be pretty straightforward for anybody of average mechanical skill and can be done in an afternoon.
