im looking at getting a '01 mustang base model so i can do some upgrades myself, one of which behing swapping out the rear bumper. i like the gt rear bumpers, but don't know if they're compatible. can anybody help me out? thanks!

welcome to AFM!:wavey yeah you can swap out the v6 bumper for the GT one with no issues whatsoever

Any bumper that a GT can take from 1999-2004 will also fit a V6 from 1999-2004.
Same goes for spoilers, sideskirts, exhaust, hoods, wheels, etc.
