Hey this is my first post on the forums and I have a some questions about my 01 Mustang GT.
First, occasionally my ABS light will go on and my Traction control will turn off, and I won't be able to turn it back on. Why does this happen, dirty censor? or something more serious?
Second, when I accelerate hard, I notice a burning smell coming from the air conditioning.. Why?
Finally, not as important as the other questions, the plastic part on my drivers side door is kind of loose and the top of the plastic seems to be slightly detaching from the the rest of the door.. How would I fix that?
Other then these problems I love my mustang, and its definitely a dope first car

So I have the same problem on my passenger side door. The plastic panel is loose at the top and won't stay in place. The second plastic hook underneath it is broken, but I would assume the top plastic clip would still be enough to hold it in place, seeing how the unit is designed and fitted for the door. Anyone else with this problem?

Definitely, my 03 GT is my first car and I am in love with it.

I've had an ABS problem with mine ever since I bought it. At first the light was intermittent, but now (a year later) it's always on. The traction control light will always be on when the ABS light is on because the TCS uses ABS to stop wheel spin. I'm going to try to run more OBDII tests on mine, but so far 1 professional reader couldn't pick up the error code. I might end up deleting it if it's going to be an expensive fix. If you don't trust yourself to not freeze up in the case of an imminent accident and forget to pump the brakes, then I'd take it into a local shop to get scanned right away. I've already had to pump my brakes without ABS and am confident that I could get out of harms way if the situation were to occur. So basically what I'm saying is... If you're looking to fix it, get it done. If not, go out there and practice some hard stops to get used to the lock up.

it's probably the abs sensor in one of the wheels is bad...yes a mechanic with the reader is necessary to figure out which one
2) burning smell may be your clutch
3) a new piece to replace the old one might solve the problem
