Here you go, I have Flows with a Pypes o/r X and I think it sounds good:bigthumbsup

Its really your choice, assuming you live in an area that currently does not require emissions inspections.

The amount of power loss from modern aftermarket high flow cats is very small, but you have to spend $100-150 extra over the cost of an offroad X...

But then, you will be needing MIL eliminators for about the same money when you disappear the cats anyway - or a tuner if you have one married to the car so you can turn off the rear O2 sensors.

Back pressure (or more accurately, the lack of it) might put you into a slightly lean condition, but this is not hard to fix if you get a good tune on the car (if it happens - depending on what other mods are present and the state of tune and condition of the car, this may not occur). Retaining the cats in the new X would prevent any of this, of course.

Alright thanks guys ima just go wit the off road x pipe and get the mills and get it tuned. Thanks agin:bigthumbsup yeah here in alabama they dont check fot cats so luckly i dont need them!
You won't need the mils if you decide to get the tuner;)
fobra559, that car sounds mean.:bigthumbsup although one thing to remeber is 4 valve cars sound considerably different than 2 valve.
oh, lol, nevermind, i should have realized what fobra ment.

Sweet, let us know how it goes and be sure to post a exhaust vid:)
Oh yeah fobra did you have any problems instaling your exaust? and do you have the stock manifolds? cause this guy on here got the o/r x pipe from pypes and said the driver side down pipe on the manifold was loose with the bolts tight. mine has not come in yet and i was wondering before i take my old exaust off but it should be here tomorrow.
Thanks man
I do have the stock exhaust manifolds. I actually had someone install it for me because he had a lift which makes it much easier to install and I didn't have the time to do it at the time. I've heard about that issue before, but so far I haven't had any problems, although I will check under the car sometime soon for that issue.
Okay good i was gettin scared there for a sec. Alright thanks man!
manley,
Expect it to be a lot louder. If you are ever in gadsden come by NAPA AUTO PARTS and you can hear mine,it has the same setup and I can fill u in bout the drivers side manifold problem.

There should be an extra fitting that comes with your pipes for that reason. lemme tell ya tho, it was a son of a b**** to get out the old mid pipe. You might need some air tools :scratchchin. Hopefully you don't have the same problem I did with mine. Good luck! let us know how it goes! (no cat's was def. the better choice if you wanna sound like a musting....not a mouse-stang :bigthumbsup)
Hey bama thanks man i got the x pipe installed and i put that sleve in and bolted it up. the whole system is installed but there is one leak where the down pipe meets the x pipe with the clamps and i need to weld it or realign it or some thin and i haven't been able to check the driver side yet though. the only thing im worried about is i dont have mill's yet cause im about to get it dyno tuned but my service engine light is on but it runs good gets pretty good gas milage but i haven't got it scanned yet either so idk what chall think?

Oh and yeah bama i'll come check your out some time soon!:bigthumbsup
