2002 Brake Caloper Rebuild

572 Views 2 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  lonestar1
Gentlemen, recently changed rotors and pads on 2002 GT. Replaced fluid, but now have dragging piston on one side. I guess the 'o' ring got screwed up pushing the piston in. Never changed one on a Mustang, but I usually just pump the piston out and change the ring. Anything I should do or not do here.

Thanks in advance,

Check the slide pins first, if they are not lubed on reinstall they could cause this as well, and they are a much easier fix.
Yea, the pins were cleaned and lubed. I didn't open the bleeders when I compressed the pistons. I guess this might have screwed up the o ring.
