my AC isnt working in my 02 GT 5 speed.

sitting, idling with MAX AC engaged and fan on high, it blows warm air.

The AC clutch engages for about 3-5 seconds, then disengages for 3-5 seconds. and it cycles like that forever.

i hooked up a refrigerant gauge and the gauge tells me it builds pressure, but never gets to where the can tells me it is supposed to be, when the clutch isnt engaged, then it drops all pressure when the clutch engages.

another note, i hooked up the gauge to the low side port without the car running because i just wanted to make sure that was the right port, and the gauge on the can was pegged in the red section. however with the car started and AC and fan on high it drops all ressure when the clutch engages, and slowly builds a little bit of pressure when it stops.

im a newbie to AC systems. my other car has no AC, and ive never had to deal with an AC problem before. this is my first encounter with an AC problem.
what the heck is going on?

You're low on refrigerant (hence the clutch cycling quickly). Refill with something that has dye and find the leak with a black light.
