Hi I'm new here. I've had my 2002 GT for a few months now. Im having some trouble when shifting from second to third gear. If I shift at a normal speed, or extremely fast I'll scrape the gear as if there is no synchronizer there. I have to hold the shifter there until its ready to drop in. I've read where it could be a clutch adjustment issue so I bought an adjustable kit, but nothing. Now im told that my clutch maybe worn enough to not be engaging like its supposed to. In theory it makes some since but only for one gear it doesnt sound right. We all know what the only other problem can be but i hope its not that synchronizer ring. I know the only way to know for sure is a tear down & inspect, but for the moment this is my only ride because my 1996 honda was stolen so it leaves me hanging & I cant shop the car because I work so much. I'll take any suggestions. By the way it started happening three weeks ago. Thanks.
