as per the title, 2002 GT, 2 front rims are bent and I can not take the judder that occurs at 65-72 mph anymore.

I was thinking about putting 2 18's in the rear and the good 17's in the front.

Has anyone done this? I'm looking for info on the feasibility and the actual cost of fixing the pitfalls associated with this setup?

Many people run different size rims in the rear.

As long as the tire diameter is close to the same, it won't cause any problems. If you get the tire diameter off too much, it will cause the ABS freak out.
