2002 Mustang GT. Rotating clicking noise from under the car?

Hey guys. I'm new to this site and I need some help diagnosing a problem with my 2002 Mustang GT.

There's this faint rotating clicking noise thats coming from underneath my shifter. The noise only happens when I get up to about 40mph and the sound increases as I speed up. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in, the noise happens around 40mph. I thought it might be a transmission problem, but there are no sounds coming from the transmission (apart from that rotating/clicking noise). I'm guessing that its probably a driveshaft bearing but I'm not sure. Has anyone else come across a problem like this? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

My first thought is a bad U-joint.
Sounds like a speedo cable. Unless its electronic on those years and not mechanical. I've had that sound before and it was a cable.

The 1999-2004 MY uses an OSS transmission speed sensor. This is a non contact magnetic style sensor. This is the same type sensor used in the ABS brakes and the CKP sensor.

No mechanical speedometer cable to make a noise for this MY.
