Hello everyone,

Just some questions. I just bought a used mustang and I want to do some interior and exterior upgrades. For the interior, I want to install a nice auto shift lever, something like this, my car also has overdrive. (http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/vehicle-pictures/2005/mercedes-benz/clk/3115-087-gear-shifter-center-console-480.jpg or like this http://www.rau-autowood.com/blogs/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/shiftknobs.jpg)

the other thing i would like to do is put in a new steering wheel that supports my cars cruise control. something real sleek like this ( http://www.siekmann-tuning.com/mercedes/images/03/C_Klasse_W203_W203_C_class_Victory_Sport_steering_wheel_airbag_Line_l03_p01701.jpg or like this Google Image Result for http://us.autos1.yimg.com/img.autos.yahoo.com/izp/bmw_7series_750isedan_2008_interior_steeringwheel_640x480.jpg )

also i would like to install an exhaust system, so that when i start my car up it sounds like this video ( YouTube - ‪V6 and GT Mustang Exhaust Comparison‬‏ and its the grey car i want it to sound like haha)

is this possible? im not a mechanical person at all so i would probably get a mechanic to install it, unless its easy to do DIY.

Thanks!

You'd be lucky to find any shifters or steering wheels that would retain factory functions.

As for the exhaust, you can't make a V6 sound like a V8.

yeah, no, you cant make it sound like the grey one.. so have a look on youtube and watch a bunch of videos to see what kind of sound you would want to shoot for

I like the sound of divorced exhaust with the super 10s there's only a couple videos out with it installed on a 94-04 v6 as for the wheel, I got mine customed, still not perfect (Nor complete) but ALL the functions work 'cept the airbag... I'll post a pic sometime... All you have to do is rewire the unit to suit the needs of the new wheel, but finding a wheel to fit is going to be a pain in the ass too, just go for the FR5000 or whatever it's called...

Draghon, I noticed in your sig it says magnaflow super 10's, don't you mean flowmaster??

OP: The best sounding muffler on our 3.8's IM(and most others)O is the flowmaster 40/44 series with long tube headers (where emissions permits) and an h pipe with some sort of high flow cats to draw out rasp and keep the car from bogging on the low end of the power band. This gives the deepest and most rasp free sound I have ever heard, single chambers are a little louder and a touch raspier but are a hell of a lot better than no muffler, but the choice is yours like said already check out YouTube to find your preference. Here is what mine sounds like with flow 40's Lt's an x pipe and some high flow cats

oops, yes flowmaster (Fixed Sig, had to anyways have the part on order, gets here on the 9th) I weas looking at Magnaflow stuff at the time of doing my Sig, ever heard of a freudian slip lol...:kooky:

OOH OOH OOH I just saw a show called "David Stacey's Gearz" and he showed a general rule of thumb, he said that if you are 200hp and under stick with a 2" pipe for duals, 200-300 2.25", etc etc etc now I know everyone on here (just about) are using 2.5" but I guess the aftermarket has done they're research so they know, but it was on this episode just before this segment http://www.youtube.com/user/StaceyDavidsGearZ#p/u

p.s. sorry for the rambling... also I forget how to get the video to pop up like you have it...
