Its possible that you just have a broken clutch cable. If so, this is a lot easier to fix than replacing the whole clutch.

How many miles on the clutch, and is it original equipment?

well the car came 46,000 on it and currently has 56,000 give or take. i was reading other threads and it seems to have been partially fixed after i pulled up and the clutch pedal, but now i can shift it in gear but it makes and odd sound when i try and take off. still might be a cable problem? thanks for help by the way :bigthumbsup
