gears + Tuner = Best bang for the buck... Short throw shifter is a great thing to get, and it's a bit cheaper... but Gears and a Tuner should be your priority - you won't believe how much more LIVE your car will feel and be!

Depends on the shop.. I would ask around because if the gears aren't installed right they'll whine and can mess somethings up.. I would try to find someone thats worked on Mustangs a lot...
