It wont go off so i took it out but the key is still dinging when the door is shut and the key is off, and the light turns on when the dinging starts. anybody know how to fix this.

i had a problem with my old truck where the door "ding" would happen once i opened my driver's door, even if everything was off and i had the keys in my pocket. They ended up having to replace a electric control module on the system or something to that extent. it ended up costing 200 bucks... i would have left it except i wasn't the one paying for it, so i got it fixed
