I've been tracking the benefits of an aluminum driveshaft on AFM forums. I came across this particular driveshaft upon recommendation of a local shop.

Description: LFP True Street Aluminum 3.5'' Drive Shaft 2005-08 Mustang GT

Web link: LFP True Street Aluminum 3.5'' Drive Shaft 2005-08 Mustang [586486] - $539.95 : Lightning Force Performance

The cost seems very reasonable at $539 with no additional shipping cost.

My question: Have any of you tried this product? If so what was your impression of the quality? I'm also concerned about proper balancing and vibration issues if any.

Thanks in advance.

Looks like a solid piece and the price is right too.
I guess it's all relative. Even at $539 I can't believe what they are charging for an aluminum shaft these days. My '88 GT shaft was nowhere near this cost.

Its looks like a nice DS. The spider DS has a good price as well. A few members have them and can advise on any issues, such as vibration. Food for thought
