Me and a friend have installed a Paxton intercooled kit on his 05 gt. We loaded the tune and I the motor will turn over but sounds like it's getting too much fuel. It also sounds like it had small cam. Bad tune or what could the problem be?

check over every single connection, plug, nut, bolt ect. Make sure of all of that.

where is the tune from?

I would be suprised if it is the tune from Brenspeed. I would pull all of the plugs and verify the gap .032" Be sure all of the COP assemblies are seated properly. Then check all electrical connections - injectors, COP, TB, MAF , etc. Try the tune download again and restart.

I agree about the tune, thats the same kit I installed on my 05 and it was dead on when I run it on the dyno. Is your MAF installed in the correct position? Go back thru Paxtons install instructions, they are pretty detailed and spot on. Sounds to me you may be getting un-metered air in thru a bad connection.

Could be a vacuum leak. You might want to check the line going to the fuel pressure regulator on the driver's side fuel rail. I will guarantee you it is something very simple.

I could be the tune. Have you contacted Brenspeed? They're pretty good with customer support.

Contact them, let them know what's going on and see if they can help you out.

It wouldn't hurt to double check all the connections before you give them a call.

Good luck!

What does "sounds like it's getting too much fuel" and "sound like it had small cam" mean?

You need to go back to the basics. You need air, fuel, and spark to run. I'd suggest pulling a spark plug and seeing if it is wet. Then ground the body of the plug while still connected to the coil and see if you are getting spark. You can test for voltage at one of the injectors to see if they are being commanded on.

If you suspect it is the tune, can you re-load the previous tune (stock?) just to see if it will start?

ok the we found that the charge pipe was not on good. looked like it was but wasnt. gave the car a start and nothing. ??? checked all connections, nuts, bolts, etc. and still nothing. decided to pull the plugs; found that the engine is most likely flooded. i told my friend to clean the plug a leave it out just to see if they are getting spark. we checked them out and seen that the motor was obviously flooded (ends of spark plugs were soaked past the spark end). so i told him to get new plugs and try that or at least clean the plugs and see if the motor will get fire.

not sure what the situation is at this point but ill keep you all updated

thanks for help too guys :bigthumbsup!!!!!

not to resurrect this thread being that we figured out why the car wouldnt start but now we have two different problems. The car is running strong but when you push the clutch in the car will go dead when the rpms drop. the car also goes dead when it is idling. Not completely sure but pretty much figure thats its a simple vaccum leak but not 100% sure.

Next problem is no matter how tight the clamps are on the intercooler piping, it will and does blow off (usually tube A on paxton kit which runs directly from the intercooler to charge pipe on supercharger). It finally got into a bad situation last night when i was in front of my friend in my car and he was following and the car just started smoking. So I turned around too check on him and we found the same pipe (pipe A) had come completely off. The smoke was from the pipe getting jammed between the tire and the wheel well so it caused the smoke. So my question is what can we do to keep this from happening over and over? Also while im at it where can he get an intercooler pipe to replace the one he lost cuz we arent sure that paxton will send just one pipe without the other ones to go with it?

Thanks in advance for the help guys and thanks for the previous help,

Drew

Get yourself a good set of T-bolt clamps to replace the cheesy wormgear clamps.
