It'll close with the stock mounts.
The Saleen S/C is one of the shortest S/C in terms of physical height of the unit i believe.

I'm pretty sure even the Whipple and Kenne Bell will fit without modification.

I have seen S/C installed on cars with the stock hood. I don't think you will have a problem, but Saleen should be able to tell you.
I'd get different motor mounts anyway because of the movement you'll get with the supercharger.

PM me and I'll make you a deal on some unused Prothanes I have.

It fits and closes...BUT...the S/C rubs on the underside of the hood liner. I bought a WMS Hoodliner replacement that is thin thinking it would solve the problem...

It still rubs in 3 places.

I have stock MM. Not for long.

Im pretty sure in the steeda manual it says that it will rub without motor mounts.. id get some anyway those stock ones are just good for tearing stuff up!!

I have pretty much the same set up as you do with the exception of a wmsRacing CAI. The Saleen touches the the WMSracing hoodliner in three or four places, mostly where the TB attaches to the blower.Spray a little Mother's detailer on it and wipes off OK.Going to try a CHE k-member support with adjustable links to see if it stops the motor from moving around.

whoops i meant the saleen manual!!!
Yes it will close. After a while the insulation will start to drop and rub against the s/c. And if you ever increase the boost, you will get a dimple in your hood. Change the motor mounts. Motor should be included when you purchase the s/c.

Mick, did you swap mounts?
Mick, did you swap mounts?
I did based on Mick's dimple experience -- and I trashed the hood liner.
Yes, I did swap the mounts out. But the damage was already done. I should have known when the insulation wore off the red color on the Saleen letters that there was a problem. My dealer did repaint the red Saleen letters. Nothing doing with the hood. I am on my own. That $teve, he is ok in my book.

So there's a noticeable bump in the hood? Wonder if paintless dent repair would do any good?
