I have a 2005 Mustang GT with a Shaker 1000 and am wanting to buy a PIE FRD04-AUX audio input so I can listen to my Ipod. Before I'd heard of 'PIE FRD04-AUX' I was told at Best Buy and a couple other car audio places that in the '05's it can't be done, but I've heard a couple people saythat with the 'PIE FRD04-AUX' it should, but no one has said that they know it would. Has anyone done this? and how'd it turn out for you? I've also heard they've had some snags but that they should be smoothed out by now. Or if you have another way to listen to your IPOD in your '05 (other than an FM Transmitter) I would like to hear about that. Any help would be great! Thanks!
I have the PIE FRD04-AUX installed in my '05 GT. I put it in for my Sirius but use it for my iPOD also. It won't charge the iPOD but it plays it just fine. I even 'split' the input so whichever source is on, that's what will play. Hope this helps.
For ipods their are lots of options inline receivers and fm transmitters.
for inline i know rockfore makes them. for fm transmitters you can pick up at best buy or even walgreens.
