my father and i are trying to install new subs, speakers, tweeters, crossovers and amps into a 2005 v6 mustang. long story short, my father ended up drilling through the wires in the door, so we stripped, spliced and butted them back together. however the driver side window does not work and both power mirrors. We solved the mirror problem by replacing the fuse, but thats not the same case for the window. he tried to use a paperclip to test for power in the power window harness. he touched hot to hot and now the passenger window doesnt work: the fuse is fine, but its not getting any power to it. It won't light up in the slot that it needs to be in... any ideas?

Each window is a different fuse, 30 amps. They are locations 5 and 7 in the Power Distribution Box (under the hood). Sometimes these fuses don't look blown when they are. Have you tried replacing the fuse? Does the fuse have power to it?

Also, verify that the power window lockout isn't on, or not working properly.
