I have a 2005 v6 mustang and I recently swapped in a 8.8 rear from newtakeoff.com. I drove around for about 200 miles on the gears pretty easy to allow them to brake in. Recently I started driving it hard/drag racing it again and I have noticed that between 30-40 mph I hear a woooowoooing noise, especially when coasting. My first thought is of course gear whine, but I thought it was odd that the noise is only between that speed and anytime else it is dead quiet. I just want to know what you guys think. Thanks

Usually if it's going to whine on decel, it'll do it at all speeds.

yea mine has started making a roaring noise after changing my oil after the 500 mile brake in.i used cheap oil the first time and high dollar the secound wierd i know.i am going to switch to convtinal see if that helps thanks stlwagon.but my noise goes away when coasteing and gets louder when i give it gas.its not reall bad might just leave it alone can barely hear mine.
