So, I just bought a used Mustang. It has the Shaker 500 System in it, and I'm pretty darn good with sound systems and radios etc. I do work for the local shops when I'm needed. I have a fairly broad background it stereo's, and I've never run into anything like this.

My car, even with a BRAND NEW CD, skips. I can be sitting in my driveway, parked, with the car off, and it will still skip. I've heard rumors that it's because of the 6 Disk, but my sources aren't all that knowledgeable.

Here's my question. Can I fix this? Should I go with an aftermarket deck? (I'd rather not, as to keep the clean, stock look of the dash) And is there any way to hook up an AUX cable, to the AUX button on the factory radio? Like I said, it's an '05, and the stock AUX inputs weren't added till '07.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
