That's a shame... Is the Vortech self-lubricating or does it pull from the oil pan?
I sure wish I could figure out what the fascination with turbos and centrifugals is. I guess I'm just not so smart.
Get a twin screw. Kenne Bell shows their dyno charts right on their web site. But I can't seem to find any of those on turbo/centri sites. Hmmm, I wonder why that is? Could it be their charts are not that impressive until the RPMs get to the high side? One guy actually told me he ENJOYS his turbo lag. Seems to me some people are in denial.
Any turbo/centri guys running 12 psi want to compare dyno numbers?? Here's mine. Let's see yours.
Because how many KB's do you think are capable of Mid 10's on 8psi?I sure wish I could figure out what the fascination with turbos and centrifugals is. I guess I'm just not so smart.

I know turbo's are....
I also have seen more prochargers have way better 1/4 times with the D1 and F1 then any 1/4 miles.
Not to mention the unspoken potential of power the turbo has.
Also at the track how often do you launch at 2,000 or less rpms?
Last I checked most reputable turbo system's at pulling full boost at 3,800 RPM's an they are launching there cars right around that?
Also the reason why most companies do not post dyno sheets is because that I really based on the tuner's capability along with the system. There has been many cases with people buying turbo kits and complaining because there dyno curve is not as good at the shops.
Also for Prochargers defend they post on there sight 11 second bolt on. I wish I still had my dyno chart to post 545.5rwhp at 9psi. with stock exhaust and a leaky BOV.
So lets see some track numbers not dyno charts sense that is what really matters right![]()
I totally agree that turbos rock as drag racers because they do make great numbers at high RPM and that's where you drive at the track. The guys going the fastest in the quarter mile are turbos, no doubt. But I drive my car on the street a lot more than the track and I drive at 2000-3000 RPM all the time. It's amazing to be able to just push the accelerator and have an instant 600 pounds of torque at only 12 psi. I'd rather have torque everywhere, not just at the drag strip. My car is first and foremost a street machine. I put on 35K miles a year. For those who want performance on the street as well as the track, a twin screw can do things no other supercharger can do.
I also completely agree that dyno numbers mena little and ET means everything. I've always said that. That's why am can't wait to post track numbers coming very soon. First race is May 9th. You know I'll be posting that time slip.
Here is a Centrifugal Blower on a built motor. The car it is hooked up to pulled a 10.1 with street tires. Blew his tires pretty much down the entire strip.
Its a Procharger F1 Blower Also that blower is not even topped out yet the guy who owns it ran those numbers at 23PSI and Plans to run it at 28psi soon.
Not to mention Prochargers are also really safe to run giggle gas on them to. It is a really common thing for owners to hook up giggle gas to get there torque lines monstrous.
Maybe I am the one who isnt smart here but I just don't see overall potential for twin screw cars.
The majority of cars that are running 9's to 10's are turbo's I have seen ALLOT of 9 second Procharged cars but very few T/S cars.
An 8 second turbo car is really common as well. Not to mention you can have a 9 second turbo or centr. car still easily street driven. I am not sure how streetable a 9 second T/S would be.
There are a bunch of 10 second KB's dont get me wrong but the majority of cars that perform on the 1/4 seem to be Turbo's and Cent fallowing them.
Sorry if there are grammer error in my post's I had automatic grammer and spell check running.
