Hello all, I am new the forum but should of been a long time ago. I have an autom 2006 gt, and recently the engine picture came on, and my car has been knocking alot lately, both at high and low speeds, real noticable too. Everything is top off, new oil, new oil filter. Any ideas?

Go to Autozone or AAMCO and they'll read the code for you. Post the code up here and we'll see what we can figure out.

You need to get this figured out ASAP. What fuel are you using?

The first thing you should do when your engine light comes on is get a code scan. Autozone will do it for free. If they are good zoners they'll even go back inside and print out what the code means along with troubleshooting tips.

After he repairs the problem all he has to do is drive a couple of days and the car will clear the code itself.
After it is fixed if the people that did the repair don't clear the code just disconnect the battery for a minute and it will clear the code. If it doesn't it was not fixed.

This is how to quickly set all PCM functions.
