Hello I am new to this, but i am looking for some help. I was thinking about getting an 06 GT with a saleen supercharger from a local dealership, but it has issue they are telling me. if you stomp on the gas he says it sputters for a second or two then clears up and run like a champ. now the real question is is this an easy fix if I buy it? or am i buying a blue lawn orniment?

I would recommend that you have them fix it before you buy it. If is not a big deal they should be able to do it.
true you dont want to buy someone elses mess
I'd avoid that. Not a big fan of buying supercharged cars used anyway.
the dealership cant fiqure it out and is getting ready to send it to auction, so I fiqured I might get a really good deal if it wasnt to hard to fix

Problem is, it could be something internal with that engine. You just don't know how well it was tuned or how bad it was beat on.
yeah your probebly right and the best thing to do would just let it go and find something else.

I hate to drive someone away from a potentially good deal but.... Is this a good enough deal that if you needed to do an engine swap that you'd still feel you got a good deal? :scratchchin
well i was going to offer between 11 and 12,000 for the car as is
if you dont mind how much was it. I know a guy that bought a vortech intercooled supercharged gt and wen to the track and was running 13's on 12PSI.

Hmmm... That might be worth it.
yeah they were asking $17,800 before they couldnt find the problem and now they said they were going to send it to auction so i fiqured 11 to 12 thousand as is. might be a good deal if its not to hard to fix.

It might just be a bad tune or it could have a small vacuum leak somewhere. How many miles on it?
it has 37,000 miles, manual shift, black leather, blue paint.
Tough call... For me, if I could get it for $12K, I might do it, knowing that it might take a few thousand to get it to where I want it.
thats kinda what i was thinking but its a little more complicated than my 01 GTP, so im kinda use to superchargers but not fords. so what do you do? you ask the experts so here i am and thank you very much.

I had a 99 GTP... This car is 1000 times easier to work on!

Does it stumble after it is warmed up? I have an 07 with a Saleen SC, Brenspeed tune and if it sits for a while it will sputter a bit when it is cold. After it is warm it or if I drive it daily it does not do this. It may be just a little cold blooded.

I think that's common for supercharged GTs in general. Mine does that too.
