hello all, I had a couple problems with my alternator about a year ago so i had it replaced. Just recently it started giving me problems again and when i poked around, i found the terminal from the battery was getting really hot. I found that there was arching on the terminal and it was only putting out 12.2v to my battery. after i swapped the terminal everything the voltage went back to normal (14.35) but now whenever i start my car the rpms start out normal but drop to about 500 for a second and then rise again and when i put it in neutral the rpms drop below 500 and as you can imagine my car shakes quite a bit as if threatening to shut off. anyone have any idea what it could be? much appreciated, thank you

did you perform an idle relearn after hooking up the battery?
