2006 Mustang cooling problems

I'm having a problem (actually several) with my 2006 V6 belching out steam.

The water pump was leaking so I replaced it. Ran it for 40+ minutes in the driveway, no problem. The electric fan ran fine too.

I Took it for a short 8 block spin and it started to belch steam from almost everywhere and the fan now never comes on, seeming oblivious to distress elsewhere :) .

The hoses are good, and I replaced the hose clamps but much steam is coming from a fitting in the thermostat housing. Is that housing plastic?

Also the radiator seems to be leaking, well at least it too is belching steam from somewhere I cannot see. Are the radiators known (like my old Nissan Xterra was) to leak from old plastic parts?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Parts Nomenclature?

welcome to the forums

prettycommon. best place to get the parts might be rockauto.com
Pretty common? plastic parts? plastic parts that are failing? Thanks for the reply, but if anyone knows what has failed a description of the part (unless my description above is sufficient) to get replacements would help.
