2006 Mustang cracked fuel rail cover

Anyone who has Midwest Fuel Rail Covers: I had mine custom painted and received July 08. Car is stored all winter. At a show last night, I noticed the left cover was cracked. A couple of us looked at it and its cracked near the front..under that sideways "L" pipe. The cover fits right up against this "pipe" and we think it may be a design problem. Because there is no room, when the engine turns over it may have been so snug that it just cracked it.

Anyone else have this problem and how is your fit? I know of no one that has encountered this..

Got any pics of it?
Here it is-this is just freaky...and I'm plenty upset. I emailed Midwest and they suggested it could be an installer problem. But FORD installed these. No one has had this happen...Ok the crack almost looks like it's part of the paint job and it doesn't go all the way down to the end so I think I am OK leaving it on. Tell me what you think.

Looks to me like the integrity of it was compromised by the paint job, but still it is a far fetched theory.
Agree the whole thing is just weird. UNLESS this happened at the body shop while it was in for painting OR FORD did it changing the oil. PO'ed...now that will need replacing. More unproductive $$.
