I have experienced this before on a different car, and I am pretty sure it is the master cylinder going out, but I wanted to double check with ya'll to see if there was anything I should know before I take my car ('06 GT, 5-sp) in to get it fixed. Also, anybody know any good shops in Dallas TX?

On a side note, after 55k miles on my OEM Pirrelli's, it is finally time to get new tires (I rarely hoon my car). I am eyeing tirerack.com as they have the all season z-rated Pirrelli's at a very reasonable price and I wanted to see if anyone had used them before.

Thanks!

Tirerack is a good company to order through. I've used them before and had no issues and it didn't take long to get the tires after I ordered them.

Check out this link. It's rims and tires but it's like buying great tires for retail and getting big fat rims (compared to stock) for free.

Have you tried completely flushing the brake fluid with something of good quality? The stock fluid BLOWS! I was getting a soft pedal within the first 500mi and once I put good fluid in I have gone another 10K miles with no issues.

Well, I live in an apartment that takes a dim view of people working on their cars in their garage. I suppose I understand that as some people don't clean up their messes like I would. Anyway, I have to take it in for an oil change tomorrow, and the guy comes highly recommended. I'll have him flush the fluid and replace. Granted, it's been 55k miles and I still haven't had a brake job. Pads are still at 50%, but it's WAY past time to flush the system anyway.
