What chrome 18's are you talkin about.?I thought the 18"bullits were delayed till at least OCT?
Is there going to be markups on the 06's like I paid for my 05? Just wondering.
markups???

If you mean...are the dealers going to price the GT over MSRP...that is up to each dealer...they are independent (for the most part)

Here at North Country Ford, we never charge over sticker for regular run vehicles...and even though it's harder to get...the Mustang is a regular run vehicle...just not regular run of the mill:gringreen
Wha Wheels???

This is the 64E wheel
the center of each of the spokes is painted silver with the edge of the spoke and the rest of the wheel is polished and clear coated. This wheel is going to be very popular with those that wish to body coat, flame, ice, ghost paint or mirror the inside of that spoke. Just seeing this picture doesn't do this wheel justice. I read the 'words on the page' just like everybody else...and to be frank, I wouldn't have ordered this one myself. Having seen it, however, this is the wheel I want on my car...because I am going to do one of the above...either ice or ghost paint...stay tuned...LOL

How much are the 64e wheels for an 05 gt vert? Do you have to buy them from Ford or can you get them froma place like tire rack etc??
Those wheels look bogus, but that's just my taste. I wouldn't pay extra for'em.

Good to get an honest opinion....
Although, check out this photo at the car show. I think they look much more aggressive than the bullits. imho.....

Sonny, how's your 4.10's working out for you? I'm going Thursday afternoon to Leonard's to get them done. They said you were coming back to get yours shimmed?

Hey Tom,
When I opened up the photo of the wheels, I just didn't like them. I actually don't like about 99.9 % of the after market wheels I've looked at. I'm an old school Cragar wheel lover. Ed called me and is going to replace the gears instead of shimming them. He's not happy w/ any singing/noise. He hasn't had any problems out of 100's of installs. It's just my rotten luck. I'm sweating now. I droped off the car at 8 AM and no word yet. I asked them 2x to make sure they have all the parts for the popping TSB. I saw this worker jump in a customer car and hammer it up the back of the dealership. I went in up to the desk and said, no way is that dude to touch my car. I will look it over real good and then some.
They still have the 2005 brochures in the salesroom and I opened one up to the page(9) where it pictures the "ready to strut" diagram of the front suspension. Here's a misprint I showed the nearest body. :D Good luck on Thursday … I'll be there Friday.

We sell the wheels for $331 a wheel..shipping included. I would think if you wait 6 months or so, you could get them for less as a knock off. Depends on the quality you desire and the depth of your pocketbook. If you want a set...drop me a line
Liking the wheels and old school

I don't like them the way they are, either...but that's up to each person....I want to do something with the center of the wheel spoke...and this lends itself to that purpose. Cragars in a bit larger configuration would have been my choice.

Now I am NOT saying this next statement is true, because I have NO way of testing it, but one of my engineering buddys told me that you would not see the Cragar style in a 19 or larger because it would be unstable at speeds over 100MPH and since that might be the case at times(not me of course as I always obey the speed laws:evillol: )...I sure wish I could ask Mr. Peabody to put me in the waybackmachine and I could become an engineer and bodyman and airbrush artist...oh, yeah...and a race mechanic...but somehow...I don't think it's gonna happen...but then I would KNOW if some of these things I hear and read have a shred of truth to them...a 19in Cragar is TOO HEAVY???...well...maybe...they don't get very big..even on trucks...so maybe...

I'm staying w/ 17" on mine. I've hit so many wheel places on the web, I can't see straight. I'll go through the tire rack for example and don't like any wheel that's offered for the car. The stock bullet's are tough to beat for looks. Thanks RJO-
Sonny, I'm with you. I love the bullets on my car, but they're heavier than I would have figured. I can't imaging them being unstable at speed because of weight in big sizes, look how fast some of those old steel rims have gone at bonneville, and they're pig heavy. I don't like the fanblades, although custom work in the center could be very cool. I like something with some depth to it. The only thing I've seen that I'd consider is the FRPP replica of the GT wheel. It's the one on the GT500. But, they don't offer it in satin yet, just chrome. Besides, I'm broke!!;)

Have you looked at the Ford accessory wheels. You have to order them from the dealer parts dept. They have the premium bullit wheels with the center cap spinner. They run about $190.00 plus tax each. They come in 5 different finishes. I think they look awesome.
I like the chrome bullits myself....:eyebulge:

i'm so happy i didn't go with the 18's for my 06....i hate the way they look...my thoughts............:shrug
I agree, I just don't like the style of them. Seems to me there's too much of a gap between the wheel and the brake discs. :handball:

I think they should call them" semi polished."I like the full polished look.Unfortunately I ordered 64e before anyone knew for sure what they were.by the time I went to change it ,my car had been serialized.
