Gonna try to explain this the best I can.. I just bought a 06 GT 5-speed, and there is a HUGE difference between the clutches on my foxbody 5.0 and my new mustang, in the new one to engage and disengage the clutch, you only have to push the clutch about 1.5 inches, so there isnt much room to ease into first.... It goes all the way to the floor, but you have only minimal clutch to use, and on my 5.0 you can push it to the floor then about 3/4 of the way to the floor it disengages.
Now I am assuming that the clutch is just worn out and bad? But I just bought the car and was wondering if this was sort of normal??
The engagement range of the hydraulic clutch is smaller than the cable clutches on the Fox cars. Its a lightswitch. On top of that they are softer so they have less feel. You will get used to it.
