Thinking of buying an SCT X3 tuner. will this improve my 2006 Gt performance enough to justify the $350. Throttle response is one of may main concerns.

Will probably add a CAI later

Where is best place (best tunes) TO GET ONE?

sct x3 tuner totally worth the buy. i bought mine from americanmuscle.com but i hear BamaChips Tuning is a good place to go as well.

throttle response is great. on the highway i'll drop it into 3rd and gun it with good response. the tuner really wakes the car up.

With out an intake you'll probably net about 12 HP on a stock engine. I know Steeda sell them. A lot of intakes require tuners but I think the Airaid is one of the few that doesn't. I was more impressed with the Airaid intake on is own than the tuner alone. One thing cool about the Airaid is that it has a removable venturi that will net more HP with a custom tune when removed.

The tune will certainly improve performance and throttle response. And if you drive and auto, will firm up the shifts too.
