Glad all turned out well, we expect videos and experience stories!
My installer said its a myth, yeah you baby them for a hundred miles or so, and in his own words "beat the living **** out of them".. =) lolThat's awesome man. Haha, I would be worried as hell too. Great pics, I wish we had a shop like that here. I wouldn't trust anyone in KY with my car, lol. Except for the guys at ORS. Keep us updated on everything and like Joey said, after 500 miles of 65MPH, post up some vids. :shigrin
Thanks dude, i am so happy i finally got the nerve up to do them. I am already and i haven't even floored it lol.Congrats man! Enjoy 'em.

Ahaha, Rob, you're a crazy son of a *****. Have fun with those gears! I'll be looking forward to the video(s). :gringreenMy installer said its a myth, yeah you baby them for a hundred miles or so, and in his own words "beat the living **** out of them".. =) lol
I figured, they are warrantied so i am not real worried.. Expect a video or so tomorrow..I am going on a mustang meet/bbq here in orlando. I am sure i can get someone to video tape me =).
Nope, never heard of them. Thanks for the link man, I'll definitely check that out. :bigthumbsupGuess you haven't heard of Modular Depot up in Northern KY. The owner is one of the top tuners in the country and they have very experienced mechanics and techs. They're very involved in NMRA as well as Grand Am Cup Series Racing. I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else and haven't for over 3 years now.

LOL, i put over 200 miles on them today.. I listened to my installers advice and i let er rip a bunch of times.. i jam the "go pedal" and it goes in beast mode and takes off.. I am pretty happy with the results, now i can not wait to bring her to the track.. It will have to be AugustAhaha, Rob, you're a crazy son of a *****. Have fun with those gears! Yeah man, i was so scared waiting for her to start up and go for a ride. As soon as he took off and i heard no gear whine, i was immediately happy! I rode with windows up, stereo off,and listened for any little noise. I tried accelerating, decelerating, everything- no howl..Congrats on the install Rob glad to hear it all went well.
=) Yeah if i bought the parts all through him instead of american muscle the install would have been $250 instead of $300.. still $300 is a steal, especially since its quiet, and he did it in 3 hrs flat.. That is impressive..Congrats, good deal!
Yeah good choice on the 4.10s man. My 06 GT came with 3.31s, so 3.73s was a good enough jump for me. Highway is not bad, i did have a lot of highway i HAD to drive today and it went great.. Mileage is not even bad.Thats awesome! I have 3:55's stock on my GT/CS and contemplated 3:73's or 4:10's. Ordered the 4:10's and expecting them in next week.
Me too mark, i was up all night thinking about it.Glad they're quiet!
They pull hard bro, i already got on them after 200+ miles today. I will record a video or something soon.. It really slams you in the seat, the butt dyno reads 50rwhp lol jk, it sure feels like i added a whole lot of power.:bigthumbsupGlad it's working out for you!
I would love 3.90's or 4.10's in the 06 as it has 3.55's right now but it's a mod that's on the back burner. I can't wait to hear how they pull when you really get on them!
:bigthumbsup
I have only ever heard of Ford 3.90's making any whining noise- if you have noisy Ford 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10, look into something wrong with the install....
By the way, you had to program the computer to calibrate the speedo, so did you do a tune also? (sorry if you already said somewhere that you did it, I didn't see). Before Whipple, my '06 Auto with just tune, cold air, and the 3.73's ran consistent 13.5 @ 103/104 mph. I was impressed - but don't know anyone else with an auto to compare it to....
