Went in this morning at 10am. Took 3 hours flat, he had it done, he took it for a ride- then handed me the keys and said go for a ride let me know what you think.. It is silent as a stock set of gears!! =)! I had great success this morning with my frpp 3.73s and to think i was a nervous wreck! I was sick to my stomach till half way through the install lol. Well here is a quick shot of the install, and some cars i saw at Jays shop.

Install was done in 3 hours like i said for $300... My grand total i spent on this mod was $470.. parts and labor =0) Not bad ehh! It has a warranty too.

I found a few Twin turbo Supras, a bunch of 5.0 Mustangs, a 5.8 blown mustang, a 05+ Roush 427r, with a gt500 front end on it.. TT baby.. lol Check it all out.

I got to see/hear a 04 Cobra with a whipple swap on the dyno- and boy did it scream!!

Jay has his personal shelby in the lobby, along with his race car he runs at our local track. =) Great shop of guys for sure, i am going back there for Kooks LT Headers + H pipe, i may go with a 1pc driveshaft, and a dyno tune from Jay.

Glad all turned out well, we expect videos and experience stories!
Oh yeah joey, they will be coming for sure!! Hell once broken in, im swinging by your side of town and you gotta check them out. We gotta record a quick video.:bigthumbsup That is a must!
That's awesome man. Haha, I would be worried as hell too. Great pics, I wish we had a shop like that here. I wouldn't trust anyone in KY with my car, lol. Except for the guys at ORS. Keep us updated on everything and like Joey said, after 500 miles of 65MPH, post up some vids. :shigrin
Congrats man! Enjoy 'em.

My installer said its a myth, yeah you baby them for a hundred miles or so, and in his own words "beat the living **** out of them".. =) lol

I figured, they are warrantied so i am not real worried.. Expect a video or so tomorrow..I am going on a mustang meet/bbq here in orlando. I am sure i can get someone to video tape me =).

Guess you haven't heard of Modular Depot up in Northern KY. The owner is one of the top tuners in the country and they have very experienced mechanics and techs. They're very involved in NMRA as well as Grand Am Cup Series Racing. I wouldn't trust my cars to anyone else and haven't for over 3 years now.

Nope, never heard of them. Thanks for the link man, I'll definitely check that out. :bigthumbsup
Congrats on the install Rob glad to hear it all went well.
Congrats, good deal!
Thats awesome! I have 3:55's stock on my GT/CS and contemplated 3:73's or 4:10's. Ordered the 4:10's and expecting them in next week.

Glad it's working out for you!

I would love 3.90's or 4.10's in the 06 as it has 3.55's right now but it's a mod that's on the back burner. I can't wait to hear how they pull when you really get on them!

LOL, i put over 200 miles on them today.. I listened to my installers advice and i let er rip a bunch of times.. i jam the "go pedal" and it goes in beast mode and takes off.. I am pretty happy with the results, now i can not wait to bring her to the track.. It will have to be August :(.... Right now i have summer school on wednesdays, and fridays i work.. so the only two days its open to race- i have obligations to attend to :(...

Congrats on the install Rob glad to hear it all went well.
Yeah man, i was so scared waiting for her to start up and go for a ride. As soon as he took off and i heard no gear whine, i was immediately happy! I rode with windows up, stereo off,and listened for any little noise. I tried accelerating, decelerating, everything- no howl..

Congrats, good deal!
=) Yeah if i bought the parts all through him instead of american muscle the install would have been $250 instead of $300.. still $300 is a steal, especially since its quiet, and he did it in 3 hrs flat.. That is impressive..

Yeah good choice on the 4.10s man. My 06 GT came with 3.31s, so 3.73s was a good enough jump for me. Highway is not bad, i did have a lot of highway i HAD to drive today and it went great.. Mileage is not even bad.

Glad they're quiet!
Me too mark, i was up all night thinking about it.

Glad it's working out for you!

They pull hard bro, i already got on them after 200+ miles today. I will record a video or something soon.. It really slams you in the seat, the butt dyno reads 50rwhp lol jk, it sure feels like i added a whole lot of power.:bigthumbsup

I have only ever heard of Ford 3.90's making any whining noise- if you have noisy Ford 3.55, 3.73, or 4.10, look into something wrong with the install....

By the way, you had to program the computer to calibrate the speedo, so did you do a tune also? (sorry if you already said somewhere that you did it, I didn't see). Before Whipple, my '06 Auto with just tune, cold air, and the 3.73's ran consistent 13.5 @ 103/104 mph. I was impressed - but don't know anyone else with an auto to compare it to....

Yup, i have a SCT Xcal2 that i bought with my intake.. I re-calibrated the gear ratio on that. That sounds about right.. Right now im at [email protected] with intake/tune.. So i hope these gears may have gained a mph or two and like 1 to 2 tenths.. We will see, regardless, it feels alot stronger and it was well worth the money.
cool bro congrats and go kick some g37 butt:hihi:
haha g37 butt! I haven't seen that kid since that one night..

I mean im not down with street racing, but i want to run against my friends STI, he has 300hp to the wheels, i wonder if i got a shot. I drove his car last night, it pulls nice- i just can't tell who would win.

I have not actually raced anyone yet- i am curious on how it will go.
How about the Che stuff?:bigthumbsup
sweet, now go have some fun :bigthumbsup
