Okay, so I am overhauling my suspension on my 68 coupe. Along with all the upgrades, I'm upgrading the wheels and tires. I bought a set of 2006 GT wheels and want to know what it will take to make them fit. Ive been told 1.25" adaptors in the front and 1/2" spacers in the rear. but when i look up kits online, some say 1"... Some say 1.25"...

Has anyone done this before? I just want to make sure i buy the right size the first time....

I have included a thumbnail of what the wheels look like so you can see exactly what i am trying to do....

If those wheels are 17x8 with 5.72'' backspace, you are going to want 1'' spacer on the front 1.25'' will work as well but 1'' gives you 1/4'' more tire to fender clearance, you can also use 1'' on the back or use 1/2'' spacer for more fender clearance, especially if you use like a 255 tire.
