I just finished building the new Revell Mustang. I painted it screaming yellow (testors yellow 1214 is a close match) to match my car with the black stripes. I don't have any pics to post though. Great looking kit when finished.

Are the standard GT Bullitt "mags" included in the kit?....haven't seen them on any of the models pictured so far.

...I run in armor (tanks) circles in my other life, and we're just as freaky about scale models as we are the 1:1 versions as you guys are about cars!

They only give you the bright machined cast aluminum wheels with the kit. You get two color stripes, black and silver.

Although the Bullitt mags are not included in the kit, here's one that was built using the wheels from Revell's '63 Corvette convertible Easy Kit:
NOTE: This kit wasn't built by me. I could only dream of building something this nice. It was built by a member of the Hobby Heaven message board: http://wwwboard.modelcarkits.com

Here's the kit that the wheels came from:

As for the other questions, the kit is in 1:25 scale. You can get it at hobby stores, or online at one of the model distributers. My favourite is Hobby Heaven... they offer great prices and great service. Here's the link to Hobby Heaven:

Nice pics. Would to God that real Torque-thrust wheels would actually fit on the current gen. Mustang....I'd have a set on there now! (even if it meant buying new tires).
Nuthin' beats that deep-set look of vintage Torque-Thrusts.....

I had a box in my hand when I last went to my LHS but it didn't have the fanblades as rims. I wanted to build an exact duplicate of my 1:1 car but without the fanblades it's not possible.

Found this at my local hobby store last week. Might be just the ticket. Cost was $10 and the scale is right.

Maisto is pretty decent die-cast. It ain't Schuco, but then again, it isn't $90, either....:winks

The plastic model kit is 1/25th scale.
The diecast is 1/24th. They'd be too big, unless you want them to look like 19's... or you're just not concerned with scale.

My kit just came yesterday in the mail. Are you all using spray automotive touch up paint for an exact match? I was thinking if I misted it on in light layers it shouldn't deform the plastic. I also thought I might airbursh on some Floquil grey primer first. Has anybody tried that? I'd rather use the exact color if I can. I'm going to try to do the model with the same custom paint scheme I used on my GT.
