my mustang keeps sputtering out and stalling . . like 17 times in an 8 mile drive . . this is rediculous . . ive had it for a month . . i thought it might have been bad gas so i filled it up with shell and a bottle of STP . . now it feels even worse . . it will go from 1.5 to 2.5 grand on its own and i wont even touch the gas . . then it sputters between 800 and 300 rpm and dies . . the starter works really hard to turn it over again every time . . someone help me please

go to auto zone and have them check the cpu read out on your car, that should give a good idea on what is going on.

its still under factory warrenty . . only 26000 miles on in . . so im going to ford with this one . . PISSED

ok i made the appt with ford for wednesday, its monday now and it wont even start any more . . im going to take the air filter out and squirt some starter fluid in it and see if it turns over then, if it does and then putters out as usual ill know its fuel delivery, and ill go in guns a blazin for a new fuel pump/filter/rails/injectors . . whatever it takes . . if not then back to the drawing board lol

Did you check the battery at all?

My s10 would completely die on me if the battery died...

Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor. If that doesn't do it, you may have a throttle body or throttle position sensor issue.
