While waiting at a red light, the cars in nuetral and my foot is off the clutch pedel. During this time I hear a whirling whinning noise coming from I suppose the throw out bearing. It's not loud, but it is there nonetheless. When I push the clutch pedal in, the whilring noise goes away. It is loud enough to bother me...I know that it is probably the throw out bearing, but I don't think it is normal for it to be so loud.
Is this normal? I have 1,200 miles on the odometer. I didn't notice this before.
Anyone else have this noise? Perhaps it's nothing...
Every Gt I've driven, and from talking to guys at car shows, "it's normal". It is however the loudest throwout bearing I've ever heard in my life. Then again "normal" to a newly designed stang might not be normal.
