I think that there is another version without the chrome bar that will fit the stock knob. I'll see if I can find it.i read that at rpm outlet also. i tried to fit the stock knob on the hurst shifter lever and it is not even close. so do not believe it.
Yes there are a couple of different ones. My 05 was leather and polished aluminum.the b&m percision shifter claim's to also accept the factory knob. are there more than one factory installed knob from ford. i have the polished metal one in my 07.
It's easier if you take it out but not required. How hard is it to take the console out, & do I have to for the installation?
Thanks for posting this. I've placed a copy in our Tech Links section.Attached is the console remove PDF.
Hey, a fellow Canuck. What track to you got to around Edmonton?I must be one of the few that doesn't mind the stock shifter. I found after a few thousand miles it had a real nice feel and the throw distance is fine for me. I've never missed a shift at the track. I leave the gas pedal to the floor when I pull gears and never have problems finding the correct gear.![]()

No... But it will smooth out over time.quick question. are there any grease point's other than the one's in the instruction's. this thing is notchy and a little noise but ive read than that will smooth out in time.
