2008 Mustang GT... Low fuel warning

I read somewhere that a mystical voice in the car alerts you when you have only enough gas left in the tank for 20 miles, etc. I have never heard this. I have a 2008 GT premium coup model does my car have this?

I've never heard of it. Sounds a little more 'Cadillac' to me.
I've run mine down to 3 miles left according to the display and I haven't heard any voices (other than the normals ones running around my head lol).
LOL OK guys thanks I suppose I have been had or wishfully thinking.
Its more of a series of dings than a voice ;)
diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing...... maybe that's what the voice is saying

You were wishing for a voice? :scratchchin To me that's just creepy. :nogrinner
I recall threads saying the color of the gauges change or the like when you run down your gas like this.
Actually it's generally 50 miles left. It dings and then shows a count down of 50 miles. Or at least it does in my car.

yes, this is true. i generally keep mine on blue, and when my miles left till empty reaches approx "8 miles till empty" the gauge, and just the gas gauge turns to red, and it "diiiiiiiiings" at me about 15 times before i reach the gauge turning red so needless to say i don't let my car go under 50 miles till empty because the beeping gets to me:so
I think it's a ford thing. My car doesn't ding at me, but my work truck does. And it does it A LOT. From 50 miles on, it won't shut up until it gets what it wants.

Specific gauges change colors when something malfunctions. When my alternator quit, the volt meter glowed red. When my water pump failed, the temp gauge was red.

I had my temp guage pegged when I forgot to plug in the cooling fan after removing it for the pulley install, temp guage never changed colors. Do the lights have to be on?

I don't know. Both mine happened at night. Maybe your gauge was pegged but wasn't quite enough to trigger the warning lights. :scratchchin
I used to have a ricer when I was in college.....everytime I opened the door it said, " Yankee Dog"......

LMAO!!! ... I actually did laugh out loud on that one.

Hey hotshot, thanks for the explanation. I had heard that the fuel gauge turns red when you get low, but mine didn't the two times I let it get that low. I guess I filled it up before it was done dinging at me before it turned red.

NICE! was it in English or Japanese?
