Got a 100% stock manual v6 lookin to make it as fast and powerful "eventually" leading up to a supercharger. Done a lot of research regarding aftermarket parts and what so I know what needs to be done but really don't know where to start, hear conflicting views on what should go first and last but nothing solid to go on. Some say intake first exhaust last vice versa. The rear end especially, should I leave the stock reat end housing and get better gears and differential or swap for a gt 8.8 and go from there.

Where to start first is the suspension. It won't look glamorous and it will not make you any faster, but if you can't hook up, all the go fast stuff will not help. I did my suspension first, and everything else after that was able to work at its full potential.

Hey bloo,

Personally, I am a huge fan of starting with an Intake/ tune combo as it is the best bang for your buck that you can get! After that I focus on suspension so that you can get the power to the ground and then from there the options are open!

I would recommend going with an Airaid CAI and BAMA X4 Tuner to start off!

The combo will really wake the car up and the tuner will not only add power, but will also let you do whatever you like to the car in the future as it comes with Bama's Free Tunes For Life!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions.

As someone who bought their first Mustang (2007 V6) 2 months ago and immediately bought a BAMA X4 and map for a bit more go, I would recommend NOT doing that and instead going the route of transferring the power to the tarmac.

Wider rear tyres and something to address the weight distribution are my next steps.

I know this is a fans forum, and I LOVE my car, but coming from a BMW and Audi background, the S197 Mustang is ridiculous bordering on dangerous when it comes to rear traction in stock form. All IMO, of course.
